Perugia or Perugia in Spanish, is located in the Umbria region, near the Tiber River. If you decide to rent a vehicle in Perugia you will be able to move around a city with great charm. Those who come to the Umbria region sooner or later end up thinking that they are in a “museum” region, especially due to the influences of the different cultures that have passed through history, such as the Etruscans, Romans, Lombards.

It has a great monumental and artistic component with a great historical load. Perugia preserves the walls that surround the city and also some access gates, such as the Arch of Augustus and the Marzia Gate. The National Gallery of Umbria is another cultural destination where you can enjoy works by Italian artists.

Another destination of interest that you can visit if you have rented a vehicle are the Fontecchio baths, very close to the city of Castello, in the same province of Perugia, the baths are known by the Franciscan name of Spello.

If you are going to travel with a rental car, the road communication routes to drive through the Umbria region are:

The SS 3 bis (also called E45), which runs along the Tiber valley, and the SS 75 bis, called the “Perugia-Bettolle Junction”.

The A1 Rome–Florence motorway (“Autostrada del Sole”) runs along the western limits of Umbria, it is linked to Perugia by the “Raccordo Perugia-Bettolle”.
