WHERE TO FIND THE BEST PADUA CAR RENTAL DEALS?
Venice Airport or Treviso Airport are the closest to Padua, in the arrivals terminal you can have a rental car to get around or use public transport.
You can also get to Padua from Bologna Airport, upon arrival you can take a taxi or bus to Bologna station and from there you can transfer to the Padua train station, the trip takes approximately 1 hour and a half.
PADUA TRAIN STATION
For information on how to get to Padua by train, you should visit the Trenitalia or Italo websites, if you arrive in Padua via Rome/Florence/Bologna. In front of the train station in Padua there are taxis and a bus stop.
Tickets are available through online sales at the train station ticket office or from vending machines. Tickets can be purchased on board only on local trains at a surcharge, so we strongly advise you to avoid this.
Mainly there are three types of trains:
Eurostar, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca: they are high speed, more expensive but cheaper if booked in advance
Intercity: very fast connections (prices are often comparable with Eurostar).
Regional: Cheap, but slow and not always comfortable.

TRAVELING BY ROAD WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE FROM PADUA
Padua is only 40 kilometers from the city of Venice, if you decide to travel from Venice by car it will only take 50 minutes (40.7 kilometres) on the A57 and A4/E70. If you come from Treviso, you have two alternatives: a journey of 59 minutes (57.8 kilometres) on the A4/E70 motorway or the other that takes just over 1 hour (62.9 kilometres) on the A57.
